Organ Concerts and Church Café
From 01 to 06 September 2020, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church will celebrate its 125th anniversary. A breathtaking festival week awaits the Berliners and guests of the city. Lectures, guided tours, readings, devotions, organ concerts, and an anniversary divine service: the program of the celebrations offers many interesting things. On weekend guests of the festive week can also visit the popular church сafé at the old tower.
Against the War
The Kaiser Wilhelm church was consecrated on September 1, 1895. 2300 guests of honor, 4000 school children, 1000 soldiers, 5000 veterans, and 200 musicians were present for the ceremonial opening. After 1945, the history of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church turned around. Today the ruins became a memorial against war and for peace. A new building is a today the architectural icon of modernism. It is worth seeing the landmark; so much history is in this Memorial Church.
Inside the Old Tower
01-06 September inside the Old Tower for the visitors are waiting fascinating guided tours. 25-minute organ concerts take place every day until September the 3rd. The devotions for the church anniversary can be visited every day from Tuesday to Saturday. On Sunday, 6 September at 10 am, the festive divine service for 125 years of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church will take place. Anniversary service will also be streamed live.
