Five Unforgettable Evenings

5-9 July 2018 the Gendarmenmarkt, one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin, hosts the Classic Open Air music festival. The grand scenery for the event is classical architecture of the Konzerthaus, French Cathedral and German Cathedral. Orchestras, vocal and instrumental soloists, “star”-concerts and “concept”-concerts, light and fireworks – five unforgettable evenings are waiting for the music fans!

Classic and Modern Melodies

Classic Open Air 2018 will be opened on 5 July with the performance of the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg – the best film songs and classic rock and pop songs will delight the audience. 6 and 7 July are the days for opera fans: wonderful melodies from Wagner’s masterpieces and great Italian operas will sound under the open starry sky of Berlin. And on 8 July the world-class pianists Joja Wendt, Axel Zwingenberger, Martin Tingvall and Sebastian Knauer will enchant the visitors.

Laser, Light and Fireworks

The Classic Open Air final on 9 July will be unforgettable with the Soul & Funk legends Earth, Wind & Fire on the stage! But Classic Open Air 2018 is an event not only for the ear, but also for the eye: all concerts are accompanied by light and fire. Laser, light and fireworks around the architecture of the Gendarmenmarkt will provide fantastic images!
