The Botanical Garden Berlin will be transformed into a magical world of Lights this winter. Unique light figures, romantic light performances and enchanting dream forests – from November 15, 2018 to January 06, 2019, Berliner and guests of the city have a special opportunity to discover breathtaking fairy-tale scenery of the “Christmas Garden”. One and a half kilometres long journey through the winter wonderland helps you to leave the hustle and bustle behind and enjoy an unforgettable Christmas mood.
Ice Rink and Star Forest
Although it is a cold season in Berlin, no one will freeze in Christmas Garden. On the 300 square metre ice rink you can warm up your muscles and tasting up regional delicacies from quaint fireplaces everyone can help to restore the spent energy. But the focus of the Christmas garden is light. Thousands of lights and spectacular light installations, such as star forest and the fireflies’ garden will turn a botanical garden into the real fairy tale! Come to Berlin in December and prepare to be amazed!
Unforgettable Experience
The idea of Christmas Garden comes from England: in 2013 there was celebrated the first “Christmas at Kew” at Royal Botanic Garden. In 2017, the first Christmas Garden Berlin opened its doors. This year you can also see the nature of the Botanical garden in Dahlem in a very special Christmas flair. The light magic starts in mid-November and provides a breathtaking ambience until January 06, 2019. Sparkling 100-year-old tree, glowing ice roses, Rudolph and his friends – it’s enough time to discover all the wonders of the garden!
