The open-air concert “Staatsoper für alle 2019” (State Opera for All 2019) invites Berliner and guests of the city to discover the magical world of classical music.
Brahms and Mendelssohn
“State Opera for All 2019” has been taking place since 2007 and is one of the most atmospheric highlights in the summer season. The symphony orchestra “Staatskapelle Berlin” under the direction of Daniel Barenboim offers the breathtaking performance of the highest artistic level. On Sunday a symphony concert will be played live on stage at 13:00. On the program are Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in e minor, Op. 64 with Jiyoon Lee as soloist and Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 in D major, op. 73.
Tristan and Isolde
On Saturday at 15:00 the Staatskapelle Berlin will perform live on stage Richard Wagner’s “Tristan und Isolde” under the direction of Dmitry Tcherniakov. The unforgettable impressions guaranteed!
